    Biography:
    Born in in Kyoto, Japan, Shinichiro Watanabe is a Japanese bio director, screenwriter, and music producer. As a former employee of SUNRISE, he has supervised the episode direction and storyboards of many SUNRISE titles. He made his directorial debut as co-director of Macross Plus. As a Director, he has worked on numerous high profile titles such as Cowboy Bebop (TV and Movie), The Animatrix - Kid's Story, A Detective Story, Samurai Champloo, and more recently Kids on the Slope. As a Music Producer, he has worked on such titles as Michiko to Hatchin and Lupin the 3rd - A Woman Called Fujiko Mine.

      Shinichirō Watanabe (渡辺 信一郎, Watanabe Shin'ichirō, born on May 24, ) is a Japanese animetelevision and film director, best known for directing the critically acclaimed and commercially successful anime series Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and Space Dandy. Considered an auteur of Japanese animation by film and television critics, Watanabe's work is characterized by evocative uses of music, mature themes, and the incorporation of multiple genres.

      Watanabe was born in Kyoto. After joining the Japanese animation studio Sunrise, he supervised the episode direction and storyboards of numerous Sunrise anime, and soon made his directorial debut as co-director of the well-received Macross update, Macross Plus.       Japanese anime director and voice actor

      Shinichi Watanabe (渡邊 慎一, Watanabe Shin'ichi, born September 6, ) is a Japanese anime director and voice actor. He is best known for his over-the-top adaptation of Rikdo Koshi's Excel Saga, in which he appears as the character Nabeshin.[1]

      Watanabe stated that the nickname Nabeshin (a name blending of "nabe" in Watanabe and "shin" in Shinichi) came to him from God.[1]

      About his unique appearance (dressing similar to the character Lupin III) Watanabe said he grew out his afro and started wearing bright clothing in order to stand out and get attention.[2]
