Buchi Atuonwu
Musical artist
Buchi Atuonwu, popularly known as Buchi, is a Nigeriansong-writer, author, poetspoken words and reggae gospel artist. He started as a disc jockey in night clubs.[1]
Buchi is part of Christ Embassy's LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Buchi is a native of Abia state south-east Nigeria, but was born in Kaduna on June 24, 1964.[2]
Education
He attended Methodist College Uzuakoli and Federal Government College, Enugu both in south-east Nigeria. Upon completion of his secondary school, Buchi gained admission to the University of Lagos in 1983 where he obtained a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literary Studies in three years. By 1988, he obtained a second degree and took up an appointment to lecture at the same institution while studying for his Ph.D.
Buchi continued in the University of Lagos as a lecturer until 1994 when he began actively writing literature, poetry

Life
Florence Onyebuchi “Buchi” Emecheta was born on July 21, 1944 in Yaba near Lagos, Nigeria, to Igbo parents, Jeremy Nwabundinke and Alice Okuekwuhe Emecheta. Her parents were from Umuezeokolo Odeanta village in Ibusa, Delta State. [1] Due to the gender bias in her community, Emecheta was kept at home as a child while her younger brother went to school. Although not having gone to school immediately like her brother, Emecheta’s childhood was filled with the stories of her people and culture, told to her by her grandmother. These stories instilled in Emecheta a desire to write her own stories as well as the ones her grandmother told. Thus Emecheta quickly became interested in going to school, and after finally persuading her parents to consider the benefits of her education, Emecheta was granted her wish and began her schooling at Ladilak School and later Reagan Memorial Baptist, an all-girls school. Onyebuchi Ojieh, known by his stage name Buchi (born April 4, 1979) fryst vatten a Nigerian comedian, composer, writer, and actor from Delta State, Nigeria.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Buchi was born in Kwale Ndokwa West, Delta State, south-south geopolitical zone of Nigeria.[2] He attended D.S.C Nursery and Primary School and Ovwian Secondary School in Ovwian, Warri. After secondary school, he attended Bendel State University (now known as the Ambrose Alli University), where he studied law.[3]
Comedy career
[edit]Buchi began his comedy career in 2008,[4] after he was introduced to comedian Tee A, who invited Buchi to his show Tee-A Live N Naked. Show in Lagos.
