Beverly J. Askelson
Beverly J. Askelson, 78 of Glyndon, MN passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in her home.
Beverly was born on May 23, 1946, in Amenia, ND to Robert “Bob” and Betty (Lockett) Hill. She grew up in Amenia and graduated from Amenia High School in 1964. She went on to receive her Accounting Degree from the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS), in Wahpeton, ND. A two-year program that she completed in just one year.
On January 9, 1970, Bev married Curt Askelson. They moved to Moorhead for a time before making their home in Glyndon. Bev stayed home to raise their son, James before going to work at the school in Glyndon. She later worked at Bargains in Dilworth before spending several years at Integrity Windows in Fargo. Later she worked at The Doller General in Glyndon.
Bev enjoyed being outside tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She loved spending time with family on Lake Ida in Minnesota. In the winters you could f

Matt Lyon became the Vice President and Dean of LMU Law in July 2020. Prior to that, Lyon served as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at LMU Law for five years. In that role, Lyon oversaw LMU Law’s schema of legal education and coordinated its successful efforts to obtain full approval from the American dryckesställe Association.
From 2008 to 2011, Lyon served as the Senior Judicial Clerk to Justice Gary R. Wade of the Tennessee Supreme Court. He later served for one year as Chief of Staff to Chief Justice Wade. Prior to working for Justice Wade, Lyon was an associate at Sidley Austin
