‘Breaking Bad’ Actor Steven Michael Quezada Running for Office in Albuquerque
“Breaking Bad” actor Steven Michael Quezada is throwing his hat into the ring for county commissioner in Albuquerque, N.M., the the Associated Press reports.
“I think I bring a new face to the Democratic Party,” said Quezada, who is seeking the seat in Bernalillo County. “We need to reach out to our young people — the young Chicanos, the young Latinos — and get them involved in this process and let them know this is important.”
Quezada played DEA agent Steven Gomez in the AMC series, which was set and filmed in Albuquerque. He currently sits on the Albuquerque school board, and is expected to face at least three challengers for the open seat in 2016.
