Biking Through History
This mural on the University Parking Deck on N Potomac Street was painted by Barbara Ingram School for the Arts students.

Hagerstown Cultural Trail mural still a mystery
The Hagerstown Cultural Trail is taking shape, with its curved walkways, plantings and motion-sensor crosswalk signals that lead visitors on a walk from the Arts & Entertainment District downtown to City Park.
Modern flairs have been added, like thin cylindrical lights that pinpoint the trail's path as it makes its way past Herald-Mail Media, the Hagerstown Housing Authority and Ellsworth Electric.
But one major component remains a mystery, a creation that will span across three old industrial buildings along West Baltimore Street.
Several coats of white base paint has been applied to the buildings, giving it a stark look and a blank canvass for its intended metamorphosis: a sprawling mural.
The design of the proposed "Mural of Unusual Size" will be up to Alex Brewer, also known as HENSE, an Atlanta-based artist whose vibrantly-colored abstract murals have appeared around the world on buildings and other structures.
