Previously, Tanya worked at ABC News as an anchor for World News Now and as a national correspondent for all ABC News broadcasts, including World News Tonight, Nightline, and Good Morning America, where she was also a fill-in anchor. Tanya also anchored for ABC News's 24/7 streaming service.
Right before coming to WABC-TV, Tanya worked as a correspondent at CBS News. She was one of the first national correspondents on the scene of the Uvalde, Texas school shooting. Tanya covered U.S. politics extensively and was the first broadcast journalist to interview congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, right before she unseated Joe Crowley. Tanya Rivero Warrenis an anchor for CBS News, weekdays 12-5 p.m. ET, on CBS News Streaming, hosting a live newscast focused on national and international news of the day. Prior to CBS, she hosted a show on WSJ Live and was an anchor/correspondent for ABC News.
Tanya was a professional dancer with the New York City Ballet before coming to Yale. At the university, she majored in literature and theater studies, and after graduation, she acted in New York for a few years and originated the title role in Sam Shepard's play “Eyes for Consuela” (1997, Manhattan Theater Club). Tanya has her MS in journalism from the Columbia University School of Journalism. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and two kids.

Tanya Rivero[1] has been a news anchor for WABC-TV since July 2024. Previously, she was a news anchor for CBS News from 2017–2024. She was also the host of Lunch Break with Tanya Rivero on Wall Street Journal Live between April 2014 and 2017.
Until August 2013, she was anchor for ABC News Now. Other work for ABC included hosting Good Morning America Health. She has filed reports for has been Good Morning America, Nightline, World News with Diane Sawyer, Weekend World News with David Muir and anchored World News Now and America This Morning.
Before joining ABC News in October 2007, she was a reporter and fill-in anchor for WCBS-TV (CBS 2) in New York City, the flagship station of CBS Television Network.[2] She joined WCBS-TV in July 2005 after working for News 12 The Bronx and News 12 Brooklyn since June 2004.
