    Beloved child actor Desi Arnaz Jr. started his entertainment career at the tender age of Arnaz had an early acting career in spelfilm, appearing in such titles as "Murderers' Row" () with Dean Martin, the drama "Red Sky at Morning" () with Richard Thomas and "Marco" (). He also appeared in "Billy Two Hats" (). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "Here's Lucy" (CBS, ) and "Saturday Night Live" (NBC, ). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the seventies and the eighties, appearing in "Joyride" (), the drama "A Wedding" () with julsång Burnett and the teaterpjäs "Fake-Out" () with trogen kvinna Zadora.     Desiderio Alberto Arnaz y de Acha III (March 2, – December 2, ), known as Desi Arnaz, was a Cuban-American actor, musician, producer, and bandleader.[1] He played Ricky Ricardo on the American television sitcom I Love Lucy, in which he co-starred with his wife Lucille Ball.[1] Arnaz and Ball are credited as the innovators of the syndicatedrerun, which they pioneered with the I Love Lucy series.[2]

No baby could possibly live up to the hoopla surrounding his birth. Timed to coincide with the onscreen television birth of Little Ricky on his parents' TV sitcom, I Love Lucy, Desi's entry into the world made front page headlines throughout the U.S. and the world. After all the publicity died down, it is no wonder that Desi waited almost twelve years before becoming an independently wealthy rock star on his own.
