    WEEK 5 (03/02/25 - 07/02/25)

     

    This week, the Year 6 students completed their journalistic writing, based on the book The Nowhere Emporium. They're excited, as we plan to send their published work to the author, Ross Mackenzie. In Geography, we continued studying the Americas and explored the Wonders of the World, which the students found as their favourite Geography lesson so far!

    This week, we wrapped up our Maths unit on ratios, and most of the students performed exceptionally well, demonstrating their attentiveness throughout the lessons. The students are thoroughly enjoying their swimming lessons and eagerly look forward to Fridays for this activity. We've also begun exploring journalistic writing, which has sparked a lot of excitement among the students,

    About Anne Frank and the Holocaust

    The Holocaust was something very sad that happened during World War II and many millions of people were hurt or killed. A girl named Anne Frank wrote in a diary about what it was like to live during this time, and when we read that today we can understand what others like Anne and her family went through.

    Anne and her family were Jewish, and during World War II in Axis countries that meant that they were in danger of being arrested and hurt because of their religion.

    While it’s sad to read about what happened during the Holocaust, it’s important that we know about it to try to prevent things like that ever happening again.
