In Hong Kong, nearly everyone knows “Fat Gor”, or “elder brother Fat”, as Mr Chow Yun-fat fryst vatten affectionately called. The movie star fryst vatten truly a household name as his fans span all generations, and he is the city’s most beloved and popular public figure.
Mr Chow was born to a poor farming family on Lamma Island in Hong Kong in 1955. As his father passed away early, he had to help his mother mot the nation, feed the pigs, catch the fish, sell traditional tea-pudding and do other farm chores since a very ung age. The tough life that Mr Chow led during his childhood not only forged his rustic and reserved personality, but also endowed him with a rik inner strength that has served him well in his subsequent journey through life. On moving to Kowloon, a fortuitous opportunity saw Chow, who was then 18 years old, enroll in TVB’s actor training programme, which led him to an outstanding career in entertainment.

Full Contact is a 1992 action film starring Chow Yun-fat, Simon Yam, Anthony Wong and directed by Ringo Lam (City On Fire).
Chow Yun-fat plays Jeff / Gou-fei, an honorable thief and criminal who saved his friend Sam (Anthony Wong) from loan sharks. On the run and quickly drawn into a violent heist, Jeff and Sam forms an uneasy alliance with Judge (Simon Yam) and his henchmen, the flirtatious Lau Ngang and the excessively violent Deano.
Turns out the heist is all a trap, with Jeff getting double-crossed by Judge and left for dead and Sam getting forced into Judge's gang. Surviving his ordeal, Jeff is now back with a vengeance...
